No Pressure Or Anything

Week 17 of the NFL season is upon us, with the usual challenge of trying to figure out just who the heck is actually going to play this weekend. I think it's a safe bet that few Titans and Colts of consequence will play, some Steelers and Giants will get the day off, and beyond that ... who knows?

I'm in four contests so far {edit: Make that 12} at Fantasy Sports Live plus the blogger battle tournament of champions. The TOC has 3 participants including myself, and most of the money goes to first place, so picking right is critical. I'm reasonably confident that I have identified some of the best players, unfortunately I'd need a point cap of about 1300 instead of 950 to squeeze them all in so compromises must be made. I'm not so confident in some of my tradeoff guys and will be sweating my picks right up to the deadline and beyond. I may have to enter some no cap contests too just to see if I really did have the right guys identified.

I'll probably end up in ten to fifteen total contests before all is said and done. For better or worse, I just can't stay away from the football. I should probably also burn through my two bucks over at Snapdraft - that could be another good opportunity to pick all the "best" guys I can't fit under the point cap.

And then there is basketball. I entered my first NBA contest of the month yesterday and came away with a comfortable win. Watching a few games thanks to the internets and paying at least a little bit of attention to who's who has made a noticeable difference. Now if only I could stop relying on the FSL feed for injury information, life would be golden.

Friday results: 1 contest entered (0 - 10 player, 0 - 6 player, 1 HU); 1 cash; amount risked: $3.40; amount won: $6.00; net +$2.60; ROI +76.5%

Thursday results: DNP, some holiday or something
